Services for Alex Ratcliff Jr., of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church in Lincoln County with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Ratcliff, 73, died July 8, 2007, at his residence. He was born on July 15, 1933, to Alex Ratcliff Sr. and Lula Dickey Ratcliff.

He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was retired. He was a member of Antioch Primitive Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his sisters, Helen Allred and Jimmie Dixon.

Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Julia Ratcliff, of Brookhaven; his son, Lance Julian Ratcliff, of Brookhaven; his daughter, Lisa Ratcliff Felder, of Summit; his brothers, A.M. Ratcliff, of Natchez, and F.J. Ratcliff, of Brookhaven; his grandchildren, Lacey Stewart Holmes, Beau Logan Stewart, Alex Dane Felder, Julian Lance Ratcliff, Evan James Ratcliff and Peyton Nye Ratcliff; his great-grandchild, Brad Dustin Holmes Jr.; hiss tepgrandchildren, Holly Fleming and Bryant Felder; and his great-step grandchildren, Tristen Fleming and Natalie Fleming.
