ENSIGN - Irene Zurbuchen, 88, died Jan. 28, 1993, at her home. She was born Sept. 30, 1904, at Dodge City, the daughter of Harry C. and Elizabeth Butts Adams. A longtime
Ensign-area resident, she was a 1925 graduate of Dodge City High School. She taught in rural schools in the Ford and Stanton County area.
She attended the First United Methodist Church and she was a member of the Dodge City Iris Club, both at Dodge City, and she was a member of the Ensign Extension Homemakers Unit.
On July 14, 1934. she married Louis E. Zurbuchen at Ashland. He died Sept. 13,1966.
Survivors include: several sisters-in-law; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Swaim Funeral Home,
Dodge City, with the Rev. Harold P. Cooper presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greencrest Cemetery, Dodge City.
Memorials may be sent to the Ford County Emergency Medical Service or to the donor's choice.
