James Lee Campbell, 98, of Mooresville, died Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at his residence.
Mr. Campbell is survived by his wife, Rosa Means Campbell; sons, Kenneth Starks of Cranberry, N.J. and William LeNoir (Tammy) of Charlotte; a daughter, Rosalind LeNoir Zachary; grandsons, William Roger Sloan (Bertha) of Herndon, Va., Dwight Sloan of Mooresville, Retired Senior Master Sergeant Craige Sloan (Sarah) of Sumter, S.C. and Jameson Mosley of Orville, Ohio; a very special granddaughter, Nicole Zachary of Huntersville and Jenay Lenoir of Charlotte; four great-grandsons, five great-granddaughters; great-great-grandson Demetrius Sloan; great-great-granddaughter Ivery Sloan; and a sister, Grace Campbell Adams.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at Campbell Missionary Baptist Church in Mooresville. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, at the church. Long & Son Mortuary Service is serving the family.
