DEATH OF HENRY BURR, THE LAST OF BURR PIONEERS NEXT OF KIN

It has been mentioned, in recent obituaries of members of the Burr family, that they were pioneers in the town of Ellisburg, Jefferson Co., and now, for the third time, within a few months we record the death of a Burr, the last next of kin of the original Burr family. It now becomes necessary to record the death of Henry Burr, long a resident of Ellisburg, which occurred February 15th, 1927, on the Ellisburg-Pierrepont Manor road.

Mr. Henry Burr was son, of Orvis and Laura Fuller Burr, and was born in the town where he spent his life 82 years ago. His father was brother of Elisha L. Burr, father of Aaron, Elisha and Adelbert, who lived many years in Pulaski. We just recently recorded the death of Aaron and not many months ago the death of Elisha was noted in the Democrat, Henry, Aaron and Elisha were together visiting and recalling the past, some two years ago and now, in less than three months all three have been called by death.

Funeral services were held at the home, Thursday, and he was buried in Ellisburg cemetery. He leaves a daughter, Marcia Burr and a son, Edward Burr, who resident the Burr home.
