In Hanford, Calif., December 23, 1893, of pneumonia. Thomas M. Welborn, a native of Kentucky, aged 78 years and 7 days. Mr. Welborn was an old resident of this city, in which he ended a long and useful career. All his six living children, 4 sons, and 2 daughters, were at his bedside when he passed away at a ripe old age.
His wife preceded him to the gave (sic) a little over 2 1/2 years ago.
His children are Fred Jackson Welborn, Wm. Thomas Welborn, Hanry, Jasper Welborn, Samuel Fountain Welborn, Mrs. Nancy Axtell, and Mrs. Rebecca Catherine Stoddard."
The Funeral took place at the late residence of the deceased last Sunday afternoon. Elder J. W. Webb officiated, and the remains were interred in the Hanford cemetery.
