Ralph was a longtime pastor for the Church of the Brethren, serving in churches in Rice Lake, Wisc., Akron, Ohio, Pasadena, Calif., Redondo Beach, Calif., and Whittier, Calif. In his retirement years he served as assistant pastor at the First United Methodist Church in Bishop, Calif.
He is survived by Helen Martin, his wife of 67 years; his children, Dennis Martin, Sharon Norman, Gary Martin and Wendy Borow; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at 4 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 1520 Pleasant St., Walla Walla, WA 99362. Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Odd Fellows Home through the Herring Groseclose Funeral Home, 315 W. Alder, Walla Walla, WA.
