Mrs. Williams, an octogenarian of the Back Creek Valley, died on Monday morning last at the home of her son, Ellis Williams, near the Bath line. She had been ill a long time. Mrs. Lee Gum, of Vanderpool, was her daughter and went down Tuesday morning to attend the funeral. Rev. N.A. Parker, pastor of the Presbyterian church, went down Tuesday to conduct the funeral service which took place at 3 p.m.
