Agnes N. was born December 22, 1914, at Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Walter and Irene Kuipers. She was raised at Grand Rapids and attended Calvin College.
On June 19,1933, she married the Rev. Henri J. Steunenberg at Grand Rapids, they served Reformed churches at Allendale, Michigan; De Motte, Indiana; East Williamson, New York; and Boyden.
In 1958, they moved to Orange City. Mr. Steunenberg passed away January 7, 1963, at Orange City.
In 1964, Mrs. Steunenberg became secretary in the alumni office at Northwestern College in Orange City, retiring about 1985.
She was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church of Orange City and Reformed Church Women and the Booster Club at church.
She also served on various committees there and was a volunteer at the nursing homes in Orange City.
Survivors include her two daughters, Phyllis, of Sheldon; and Ruth, of Le Mars; son, John of Sioux City; and sister, Dorbthy Smith, of Owensboro, Kentucky.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, S. Walter Kuipers.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, September 17, at the Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City, with the Revs. Donald De Glopper, Willis VanderKooi, Garret Docter, and Robert Hector officiating. Interment was prior to the service at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City, under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman-Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City.
