EACKER - An Albion man, Lafevre Eacker, 82, died Sunday at Veterans Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion with the Rev. Wendell Dubner officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

His body will lie in state today and until service time at Levander Guneral Home, Albion.

He was born Feb. 1, 1895 at Primrose to John and Hattie (Smith) Eacker. He married Anna Schack March 17, 1920 and they lived in the Bartlett and Spalding communities before moving to Albion in 1967. A retired farmer he served in World War i, was a member of the American Legion and served on the School Board and Selective Service Board.

Survivors include his wife, Ann; daughters, Dorothy Nelson and Lola May Harsin, both of Omaha; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, son, seven brothers and three sister.
