J. Craig Huneycutt, 91 passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House, Southminster.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC 28212.
Craig was born December 29, 1921, in Birmingham, Al., to the late Charles Herbert and Malinda Broome Huneycutt.
He attended Gateway Baptist Church and was one of the oldest members of the congregation. He was employed many years with Washburn Press Company.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Huneycutt was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mildred Huneycutt; brother, Charles "Cutty" Huneycutt and sister, Jane Christmas.
He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Long of Augusta, GA, Susan Otman of Charlotte; brother, Dan Huneycutt of Charlotte; sister, Connie Pierce of Charlotte; grandchildren, Jenifer Long of Charleston, SC, Traci Westin of Augusta, GA, Christopher Otman of Charlotte and great grandchild, Cloe Runion of Charleston, SC and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Levine & Dickson Hospice, Southminster and the third floor of Presbyterian Hospital-Matthews for their care and compassion given to Craig and his family.
