Son of Ernest "Hoot" and Martha Bentley. "Tuny" graduated from Keytesville High School class of 1951, he then served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged.
He married Louise Marcum on February 20, 1988 in Keytesvile.
"Tuny" was a farmer, helping his father on the family farmstead for many years, he also was a truck driver and most recently owned and operated the Keytesville Discount Store.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister in infantcy.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Summerville Funeral Home in Salisbury. Visitation was held on Monday evening from 5-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Military honors provided by Rucker-McAlister American Legion Post #7 of Brunswick.
