Velma Winifred Rogers was born September 2, 1914 in Johnson County, Arkansas to Buck Muriel Rogers & Rebecca Delila Pearson. She passed away on June 9, 1989 in Farmersville, Louisiana.

She married John West in Dardanelle, Yell County, Arkansas. Her & John moved from Dardanelle to Southern Arkansas. They lived mainly in Watson, Tillar, and Crossett. After John passed away, Velma moved to Louisiana, with her daughter, until her death, in 1989.

Left to cherish her memory are 6 boys and 2 girls.

James Muriel, John Earl, Bobby, Thomas Edward, Steve, and Keith Noel West. -- The boys are all deceased now.

Velma Louise, Bettie Sue & Leonna Mae West were her 3 girls.

She left a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many other family members behind to cherish her memory.

Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Arkansas handled all funeral arrangements.

She was a lady of grace, and loved her family dearly. She was a lady of few words, but you knew when she said your name, you better straighten up lol. She will be forever missed and forever loved.
