Ruby Ann Crawley, the daughter of Elmer and Effie Cue Jessen, was born July 22, 1935, at her parents' home in Exira, Iowa and died October 29, 2011, at the Audubon County Memorial Hospital in Audubon, Iowa at the age of 76 years, 3 months, and 7 days.
Ruby was baptized and confirmed at the Exira Lutheran Church in Exira, Iowa. She attended the Exira Community Schools then was employed at several various jobs.
In 1955 she was united in marriage to Melvin Coe, Sr. in a double wedding with her twin sister Ruth and Ron Crouch in Maryville, Missouri. Eight children Kathy, Sharon, Karen, Kenneth, Randy, Melvin, Jr., Sandy, and Russell were born to this union. They lived in many different communities and Ruby was employed at businesses in each location.
In 1973 she married Robert Crawley, Sr. in Omaha, Nebraska. One daughter Tanya was born to this union. They farmed in the Guthrie County are for many years. Later Ruby moved to several communities until she settled in Audubon, Iowa in 2002.
Ruby loved to spend time with her family. She was the baby sitter for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to fish and enjoyed family get togethers.
Ruby was preceded in death by her sons Kenneth Coe and Randy Coe; her grandson Duane Frazier; her daughter-in-law Connie Coe; her sons-in-law Dennis Peel and Darwin Belew; her parents; her sisters and brother Geneva Masterson, Viola Hansen, Darlene Elwood, and Richard Jessen; and her brothers-in-law Ron Crouch and Augie Bonnesen.

Interment will be in St John's Lutheran Cemetery west of Exira, Iowa.
