William A. Grimes, 79, of Corbin passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the UK Hospital at Lexington. He was born November 23, 1930 in Laurel County, a son of the late John R. and Flora Lee Grimes. His wife Lola passed away in 1996. William was the former owner of the Bee Creek Market. He is survived by four children: William A. Grimes, Jr. and wife Pam of LaGrange, KY, Parker Arnold Grimes of Williamsburg, Connie Vandy and Agnes Walden of London; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two brothers: Kenneth M. Grimes and John R. Grimes, Jr.; and two sisters: Dorothy Coggins and Freda Campbell. Visitation will be from 6 until 9 pm Wednesday at the O'Neil Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 11 am Thursday, with Rev. Randall Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens. Friends and family members will be pallbearers.
