He married Thelma Wilma Whitaker "Bill" on the 13th of May 1934, in Sand Springs, OK. They had 9 Children: Patsy(Hudson),Marie(May),Jack, Cozzetta(Short),Martha "Dena", Donald, Junior "Nate", Judy(Shoffner), Angela(Reece).
He is preceded in death by his daughter Dena and his parents.
In 1942 the family moved from Oklahoma to Vacaville, CA where George worked in the onion plant. 1945 the family of seven are living on Riverside in west Linda, later re-named Feather River Blvd. Three years later he joined the Painters Union Local 146 in Marysville, and worked out of that union for 25 years. In 1973 he started working for himself, painting houses.
He LOVED to fish and hunt, many deer hunting trips with his sons. fishing the dredgers, lakes and where ever fish were to be found.
Several times, due to levies breaking, their home got flooded, always "cleaned up" and life went on.
George was a member of the Cherokee Indian Nation, always proud of his "blood"
He is greatly missed. We look forward to seeing him again someday. We LOVE you DAD.
