whose remains were found
July 10th 1799 & here interred
aged 33 years
also in memory of
EDWARD son of
Capt EDWARD & Mrs MARY
TAYLOR who died Sept 15th
1798 aged 1 year & 4 months
The wide Atlantic past his raptur'd fight
Beholds his wished for home his best delight,
Adverse the tide - in boat the surge he braves
And meets his fate beneath o'erwhelming waves,
Thus fell the husband kind the parent dear,
The loving brother and the friend sincere.
