Mae Fern Coley Hickey was born in Pike County, May 31st, 1928 the daughter of the late Elijah and Susie Coley.


She was united in marriage with Hoyt G. Hickey Sr. who survives. To this 64 year union two children survive: Glenn and his wife Sheila Hickey and Jane and her husband Tim Hopper.


Also surviving are her grandchildren: H.G. and wife Ashley Hickey, Adam and wife Sarah Hopper, Megan Hickey and Maggie Hopper, Her sisters: Peggy Chaney and Carol Smith and brother: Jack Coley.


Along with her husband they founded the Hickey & Son Funeral Home in Monticello in 1953. She was devoted to her church, Monticello First Baptist, her concern for young people caused her to spend many years in both Boy and Girl Scouts.
