JAMES HOWARD JONKER

Jim went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2013, after a 5 month battle that began with pneumonia. His family, (Brenda, children and grandchildren) was with him as he passed on into Heaven to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Jim was 71 years old, born on October 3, 1941, in Wichita, Kansas. He grew up in Southern California, moved to Riverside in 1964 and Riverside was his home the last 49 years. He worked as a salesman in the auto parts industry for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife Brenda; his children Gina, Jeff and Shannon, Mike and Dianne, and Diane Lee; and his grandchildren, Tiffany and Gabe, Roger, Jordan, Travis, Tanner, Tayler and Ryan, and Savanna, and great-granddaughter Paisley Grace. Jim was devoted to his family, loved each of them with all his heart. He loved the Lord and loved serving as an usher for over 20 years at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside. One of his favorite things was serving in the Harvest Crusade Ministry. He was also an active member of Gideon's Intl. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held Monday, June 17, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Harvest Christian Fellowship, 6181 Arlington Avenue, Riverside. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Harvest Crusades, 6181 Arlington Avenue, Riverside 92504, Gideon's Intl., P.O. Box 140800, Nashville TN 37214, or Teen Challenge, 5445 Chicago Ave., Riverside 92507.
