Audra Rose Middlebrooks Elliott, 90, died on June 7, 2013 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born in McLean, Texas on May 15, 1923 and was the youngest of eight children born to the late Robert and Nora Butler Middlebrooks. Audra's three sisters and five brothers are deceased. She graduated from Shallowater High School. She married Edward Lee Elliott, also of Shallowater, Texas. They lived in Littlefield, Texas where they farmed from 1948 until 1972. She became a beautician during that time and owned her own salon. After moving to Lubbock in 1972, she was a homemaker and she and her husband owned Ed Elliott Realtors. She was an accomplished seamstress and quilter. She enjoyed gardening and especially took pride in her roses. Ed, her husband of 54 years, died in 1995. She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Elliott Littlejohn of Royse City, Texas; three grandchildren, Kasie Lynn Williamson of Rockwall, Texas, Glenn Alan Valentine of Albuquerque, N.M., and Bradley Kyle Smith of DeepHaven , Minn.; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held today, June 12, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home, 5740 W. 19th St., Lubbock, TX. The funeral will be in the Abby Chapel at Resthaven on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 1 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
