Funeral services were held at an 11 a.m.Mass in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Horace Antoine Forestier, 61, who died at 1:45 p.m. Friday July 11, 1980 in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mr. Forestier was a native and lifelong Lafayette resident. The son of the late Hubert Forestier and Emma Robin. He was a self employed painter prior to his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, the former Bertha Istre of Lafayette; six daughters, Jeanette Boudreaux, Ruby Rodgers, Judy Hoffapuir all of Lafayette; Beulah Rombero of New Iberia; Betty Guillot of Slidell and Clara Touchet of Duson; four sons, Dudley (Doug) Forestier of Houma and Sidney, Rodney and Larry Forestier all of Lafayette; four sisters, Mrs. Lucille F. Bertand of Mamou, Mrs. Melvina Bertrand and Mrs. Eunice Waguespack of Metairie and Mrs. Eula Dupre of Lafayette; and 20 grandchildren.
The Delhomme Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
