Ann/Nancy was baptized at Christ Church, Edgartown, Dukes Co., MA, between 24 June and 1 July 1781. She married James Howard Jr. on 31 Oct. 1800 in Farmington, Kennebec Co., ME. After he died in 1807, she returned to Martha's Vineyard. In Aug. 1836, she sold a small parcel of land and bake house at the harbor in Edgartown to Gorham & Fisher, merchants.

This memorial is tentatively placed in Westside Cemetery, where Nancy's parents and two of her sisters are buried. No gravestone has been found here, however.
