Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn K. Kirkland, 65, wife of R. M. Kirkland, prominent fruit grower of Crescent City, was held Monday afternoon at the First Presbyterian Church, Rev. H. H. Gress officiating.
Interment was in Eden Cemetery with R. L. Smith, D. M. Gautier, C. H. Stockton, R. R. Kinard, M. D. Bishop, S. E. Warner, and R. T. Word acting as pallbearers.
Mrs. Kirkland is survived by her husband, one son, Harry Salt; two grandchildren, Harriet and Jack Salt, of Miami; one sister, Mrs. Charles Lush, Cincinnati, Ohio, and two aunts, Misses Nellie and Gussie Benninger, of Cincinnati and Daytona Beach. (Times-Herald Obituary dtd Friday, 26 May 1939.)
