Juanita Gallegos, age 79, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013.
Juanita is survived by her loving and caring husband of 57 years, Manuel Antonio "Tony" Gallegos, six children, daughter, Loretta Otero and her husband, Tony, son, Anthony Lee Gallegos and his wife, Lorraine, son, Louis Gallegos and Sophie Serna, son, Robert Gallegos and his wife, Geraldine, son, David Gallegos and his wife, Joselyne and daughter, Lisa Luján and her husband, Michael. Juanita was a loving and inspirational grandmother to thirteen grandchildren, Joseph, Rebecca, Charlene and her fiancé, Adam, Anthony, Jr., Clarisa, Stefanie, Jessica and her husband, Ric, Veronica and her fiancé, Joseph, Alexandra, Arynn, Isabel, Michelle and Monica. Juanita was also great-grandmother to Isaac and Eric.
Juanita was preceded in death by granddaughter, Melissa.
Juanita will be remembered for her enduring faith in God, an incredibly warm heart, her wonderful sense of humor, and for the way she touched the hearts of all those around her.
Rosary for Juanita will take place on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW, Albuquerque, NM, with Funeral Mass immediately following. Burial will be on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 9:45 a.m. at Santa Fé National Cemetery in Santa Fé, NM. Pallbearers will be her four sons, Anthony Lee Gallegos, Louis Gallegos, Robert Gallegos, David Gallegos and two grandsons, Joseph Otero and Anthony Gallegos, Jr.
