Mrs Cynthia A Savage, widow of the late Rev. James Savage of Foxwarren, Man, died in Brandon at the International Nursing Home. Mrs Savage was born in North Perry Maine, but received her public and high school education in Great Village NS, and attended normal school in Truro NS. After a few years teaching in Nova Scotia, she followed her profession in Birch Hill area north of Prince Albert Sask during the first decade of the century. On 28 June 1912, she married Dr Earl E Ager, veterinary surgeon and moved with him to Cartwright Man where he practiced. Widowed in 1920, she returned to teaching in the Pilot Mound area. On 08 Oct 1921 she married the Rev James Savage, a widower then minister of the Presbyterian Church in Cartwright. Mrs and Mrs Savage subsequently lived in Teulon, Transcona, Lafleche Sask, where Mr Savage served as a United Church minister. Widowed in 1945, Mrs Savage lived from 1946 to 1951 with her son Earl Savage in Brandon and remained there after Earl moved to Ottawa. She is survived by her son in Ottawa and two grandsons. Her funeral service was held on 17 Jun 1976 in Brandon with interment later that day in the Cartwright Cemetery.

She would appear to be the daughter of Howard and Abigail M Chisholm.
