Nancy Annette was born in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late A. C. and Iris Stegall Daunis. She moved to San Antonio with her family when she was a child. Nancy graduated from Alamo Heights in 1949, and attended Hockaday in Dallas. She received a home economics degree from A & I, Kingsville, and was a member of the Delta Theta Sorority. Nancy was the District Home Economist for Houston Natural Gas. She moved to Victoria as the manager of their Hospitality House and gave many cooking demonstrations throughout the area. Nancy met and married C. G. "Juney" Atzenhoffer on September 16, 1956. She taught school for many years at Our Lady of Victory and Nazareth Academy where she was affectionately known as "Mrs. A." She was a 4-H leader for many years and was a charter member of the Victoria County Genealogical Society. Nancy loved antiques, traveling, cooking, designing cakes on special occasions throughout the year for her family, and taking care of the flowers in her yard. Her Delta Theta sorority sisters were a big part of her life.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Clarence G. "Juney" Atzenhoffer; daughter, Alice Jeannine Atzenhoffer; son, William "Bill" Jay Atzenhoffer; and grandson, John W. V. Atzenhoffer, all of Victoria; many other relatives and numerous friends. V12
