S/o Henry Smith and Mary Adams.
Married Abigail Wilkinson May 13, 1735 in Walpole, MA, d/o John Wilkinson and Rachel Fales born Jan. 28, 1715/6 in Attleboro, MA. She died May 4, 1773 in Medfield, MA.

They had 8 children -
1. Mary born May 15, 1737.
2. Jonathan born May 9, 1739, died May 27, 1743.
3. Abigail born March 4, 1741, married Nathaniel Cutler July 3, 1764 had 1 daughter, Abigail Nov. 27, 1764, died Jan. 22, 1766.
4. Sybil born August 24, 1743, married Joseph Dean August 20, 1770 in Dedham, MA. Died July 14, 1818.
5. Jonathan born April 8, 1745.
6. Phebe born April 28, 1747 married Asa Ellis June 20, 1768.
7. Rachel born June 25, 1749 married Fisher Allen May 9, 1771 and died Dec. 1, 1829 in Dover, MA.
8. Amy born Aug 7, 1754.

Smith, Jonathan, Medfield. Capt. Sabin Mann's co. of Medfield militia; return of alarm list with equipments, dated June 10, 1776; age, 62 years; also, list of men credited with turns of service "Dune in the Last Wars in the Days of Capt Morse the first And Captain Collidge," made up from the records and attested by Capt. Peter Collidge in Nov., 1776; said Smith credited with ¾ turn and as having paid £56 5s; list attested by Capt. Mann and Philip Blake, Clerk, Nov. 17, 1776; also, list of men drafted from Capt. Mann's co. of Medfield militia, both train band and alarm list, to reinforce the Continental Army, agreeable to warrant of Nov. 21, 1776; said Smith reported drafted but paid £2 10s in lieu of service; also, list of men belonging to Capt. Mann's co. of Medfield militia drafted to complete the quota for the Continental Army, in accordance with a warrant issued by Lieut. John Baxter May 8, 1777, but who paid money in lieu of service; said Smith reported as having paid £7 10s.
