Trudy Geraldine Oglesby, 76, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at a local nursing center in Abilene. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 14, 2013, in Abilene City Cemetery directed by Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd St. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Trudy was born on September 16, 1936 to Marshall C. Glossup and Clora Ann Cannon Glossup in Clovis, New Mexico. She married Velton Ray Oglesby in Mena, Arkansas. Her husband passed away in 1965. She had lived in Abilene since 1965. She was a homemaker and a member of the 11th & Willis Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, Gerald Ray Oglesby of Abilene; her daughter, Jannell Bullock and son-in-law, Jim Bullock from Kerrville, TX; brother Henry Glossup and wife, Judy of Abilene; sister, Christine Oglesby of Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
