Formerly of Hilbert, age 93, died on Friday, July 23, 1999, at the nursing home.
She was born on June 18, 1906, in the Town of Dale in Outagamie County, daughter of ;the late Joseph and Catherine (Sief) Baschta. She married J Sylvester Robert Giesen on May 8, 1926, at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville; he preceded her in death in March of 1979. She farmed with her husband in the Town of Chilton for many years until 1974 when they moved to t Hilbert. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert,
the Christian Mothers, and the Hilbert Senior Citizens. Adeline enjoyed playing cards and loved being with her family and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Eugene M. (Joan) Giesen, Stockbridge, and Sylvester John (Charlene H.) Giesen, Hilbert; nine grandchildren, Debra (James) Campbell, Stockbridge; Diane (Steven) Stroobants, Chilton; Michael Giesen, Chilton; Patrice (Lyle) Hoerth, Chilton; Brian Giesen, Washington, D.C.; Timothy Giesen and friend, Charlene Halbach, Chilton; Thomas (Candice) Giesen, Sheboygan; Gregory (Jill) Giesen, Potter; Chad (Renee) Giesen, Appleton; a brother, Arthur (Helen) Baschta, Hortonville; a sister, Lorraine (Wilbur) Nussbaum, Hortonville; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Baschta, Hortonville.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Elmer Baschta, a sister and brother-in-law, Ella and Robert Griesbach.
Funeral services will be at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 26, 1999, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hilbert, with the Rev. Rallen Stencil officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery on Tuesday. Friends may call at the church in Hilbert from 4 p.m. on Monday until the time of services. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Adeline Giesen. Special thanks to the staff at the Calumet Homestead for their dedicated care. Wieting Funeral Home in Chilton is assisting the family.
