MOWEAQUA-March 15-Mrs. Sarah Ahl aged 81 died Tuesday just 14 years to the day after the death of her husband. She had been ill with influenza and then had a relapse which ran into pneumonia and other complications. Her death was rather unexpected. She was a member of the Baptist church and her interests were in her children.
She was born in Cloversport, Ky ,June 1841. Her marriage to Nathaniel Ahl took place when she was 16 years of age. Twelve children were born to this union six of whom are living. They are Charles,James of Missouri,Alex of Tobansport,Ind,Thomas of Richmond, Ind, Mrs. Oscar Whitehead of Texas,Mrs.Luther Halvety of Walker, 20 grandchildren,10 great grandchildren.
In 1890 they came here from Tobinsport, Ind and lived on 2 different farms. The homestead however was northeast of Moweaqua. The family moved into town before the death of Mr. Ahl
