Mrs. C. Necker
The death of Mrs. Caroline Necker occurred Saturday, May 15, at the home of her son, Chris Necker, in the First ward.
Mrs. Necker was born at Luco, Germany, October 20, 1820. She was married in Germany at the age of 26, and her husband died in that country in 1869. In 1873, with her family of children, she came to this country, and first settled in Illinois. Later her children came to this county to make their homes, and Mrs. Necker followed to make her home with them nineteen years ago. She has been in feeble health for a long time, and death came as a relief to her bodily ills. She was a member of the Evangelical church of this city.
Four children are left to mourn the death of a kind and loving mother. They are Chris Necker, Mrs. Carl Schultz, William Necker, and Carl Necker, all living in or near this city.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon at 2:30 from the home of C. Necker. Rev. Taylor, of the M.E. church, preached a very appropriate sermon. The internment was at Oakwood cemetery.
