Mrs. Esther Marie Bailey Benedick, 64 years old, passed away Friday, February 2, 1973, at Bethany Medical Center. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas, and was a lifelong resident of Wyandotte County. Mrs. Benedick was a member of Chelsea Park Christian Church.

She was survived by her husband, John A. Benedick; a daughter, Mrs. Patricia Clark, of Lawton, Okla.; two sons, William Albert Conley Jr. of Abilene and George Bailey of 1908 North 75th Dr. in Kansas City, Kan.; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Virginia Epperson of Aurora, Ill., Miss LaVerne Benedick of 5708 Greeley and Mrs. Leta Brown, both of Kansas City, Kan., and Mrs. Anabel Reed, of Mission; a stepson, John A. Benedick Jr.; three sisters, Mrs. Marvel Debus of 1862 N. 36th and Mrs. Oreta Wright of 3512 Haskell both of Kansas City, Kan., and Mrs. Juleta Ryan of Indianapolis; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held at the Fulton-Nickel Chapels at 18th St. at Washington Blvd, where friends called. Interment was at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
