Paul Lewis Bizzell Paul was born in London, Arkansas on August 10, 1933 to Paul Lewis Bizzell, Sr. and Juanita Beckham Bizzell and passed away on June 8, 2013. When Paul was two weeks old the family moved to Kilgore, Texas. Paul was a graduate of Kilgore High School and attended Kilgore Jr. College. After serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict, he received his Bachelor's Degree from North Texas State University in January 1959. Paul was preceded in death by his mother, father, son Bradley Don Bizzell, and sister Pattie Hodges. Paul is survived by his wife and true love Janet Olmstead Bizzell, daughter Sue Ann Bizzell Hall, son-in-law Mark Allen Hall, and granddaughter Renick Bizzell Hall. Paul is also survived by his sister Marada Early, nephews Randy Hodges, Mark Hodges and wife Sharla, and Kelly Hodges; also nieces Pattie Matula and husband Chuck, Pam Koctar; and great nieces and great nephews Markus, Carly, Candice, Melissa, Clint, Chad, Danielle, Jennifer, Michelle, Matt, TC, and Heather. Paul was truly loved and is survived by step-children Bob Cotton and wife Jana, David Cotton and spouse Joel Hendrix, John Cotton and wife Traci, Jimbo Cotton and wife Jamie, and Judy Mills and husband Dan. Also by step-grandchildren Ashley and Lisa Cotton, Amber and Marcel Ruales, Kate and Chris Sowell, Tess Mills, Makenzi Cotton, Bailey Mills, Austin Cotton, Ben Cotton, and Bentley Cotton; and step-great-grandchildren Tori Cotton, Nolan Gardner, Caden Cotton, Payton Parsons, Maci Sowell, and Brandon Ruales. Paul will be missed by his many friends. Paul entered the insurance industry out of college and maintained a 40 year career until retirement. He owned and operated A B C Insurance in Plano, Texas and Austin, Texas. He served as past president of Plano Independent Agents Association and instructor of the LUTC program for several years. Prior to establishing his own company, he managed insurance offices in Tyler, Waco, and Dallas. Paul was president of his home building company, A B C Homebuilders, Inc. in Collin County. Paul was an avid boater, enjoying weekends at Cedar Creek and Texoma lakes. He was honored to be the founding president of the Cedar Creek Lake Property Association which had about 1,100 members. In later years, Paul loved to camp and travel with Janet in their RV. Paul loved to dance and made everyone he met laugh with his outgoing personality, unique sense of humor, and stories. A Celebration of Life for Paul will be held Wednesday, June 12th at 2:00 p.m. at Balcones Country Club, 8600 Balcones Club Drive, Austin, Texas 78750. A service with military honors, for urn final resting place, will take place at a later date at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Capital Area Food Bank or a charity of your choice.
