Samuel Wallace Burns, 83, of Oklahoma City, died Monday morning in a city nursing home. Committal services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Yukon cemetery. Hunter funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
Burns, a retired farmer, came to Oklahoma from his native Calhoun, Ga. in 1901. Before moving to Oklahoma City in 1948, he lived at Marlow and Custer City.
He is survived by two sons, H.B. Burns, of the home, and Charles Burns, Indian Head, Md.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
