DAVENPORT - Marian E. Stein, of Davenport, died Saturday, May 11, 2002, at Good Samaritan Center, Davenport. A celebration of life will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation is 12:30 p.m. until the service time Tuesday at the mortuary. Marian Larson was born May 2, 1915, in Clinton, Iowa, to Arthur and Rachael (Davies) Larson. She married Frank Stein on June 16, 1938, in Davenport. He preceded her in death Dec. 2, 1980. She graduated from Iowa State Teacher's College and taught for several years prior to raising her family. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Center. Marian is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Deb Stein and Vic and Mary Jo Stein, all of Davenport; daughters and sons-in-law, Marlo and Dick Jack, Ely, Iowa, and Rita and Dick Folbrecht, Wauzeka, Wis.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Carol Larson, Milan, Ill.; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Virjeanne and Dick Brown, Gays Mills, Wis., and Sandra and Harold Benisch, Columbus, Wis. Marian was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Elfrida Larson; her mother; and a brother, Donald.
