Mrs. Judith Ann "Judy" Bair Adams, age 68, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on August 18, 1944 in Portland, Oregon. She was the loving daughter of the late, Lloyd Ralph and Lillian Edith Mehrer Bair. She was raised in Saluda Township and was a 1962 graduate of Southwestern High School where she was the valedictorian. Judy was a graduate of Ball State University with a degree in medical technology. She later attended Franklin College and studied microbiology. Judy was united in marriage on August 5, 1967 in North Madison Christian Church to Wm Hurley Adams. This happy union was blessed with a son and three daughters. Judy had worked early in life at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie and later after moving back to Jefferson County began employment as a lab tech with the Madison State Hospital. She then began a career with the King's Daughters' Hospital in the lab. While working in the lab, Judy had attended Franklin College and studied microbiology. She retired after 33 years of service as a registered microbiologist with King's Daughters'. She was known among family and friends for her personal strength, tenacity, and outlook in the face of long term health issues. In her retirement, she worked at the Fabric Shop in downtown Madison, which she co-owned for 23 years with her husband. Judy was known for her talents in sewing, knitting, weaving, tatting and other fiber arts. She was a faithful member of the North Madison Christian Church. Judy died Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 4:39 a.m. at the Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover, Indiana.

Judy will be missed by her beloved husband of 45 years: Wm Hurley Adams of Madison, Indiana; her loving son: William H. Adams, Jr. and his wife, Julie of Lafountain, Indiana; her loving daughters: Denise Derrer of Danville, Indiana, Ellen Adams and her husband, Walter Long of Madison, Indiana, Michelle Adams of Henryville, Indiana; her loving sisters: Jeannette Walters of Hanover, Indiana, Valerie Strickland of Hanover, Indiana, Emmily Enyart and her husband, John of Columbus, Ohio, Ilene Harsin and her husband, Ronald of Lexington, Indiana; her brother: Loren Bair and his wife, Deborah of Madison, Indiana; her loving sisters in law: Kathy Dibble and her husband, Ed of Madison, Indiana, Mae Johnson and her husband, Dave of Hanover, Indiana, Cindy Nolan of Madison, Indiana; her adoring grandchildren: Diana Derrer, Elaina Derrer, Lillian Adams, William Boyd Long, Elise Adams and Emma Adams. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Ralph and Lillian Edith Mehrer Bair.

FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., by Bro. Bob Hicks and Bro. Robby King, at the North Madison Christian Church, 1400 East SR 62 in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Bedford I.O.O. F. Cemetery in Bedford, Kentucky.

VISITATION
Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at the North Madison Christian Church, 1400 East SR 62 in Madison, Indiana.
