"Mrs. Martha Cecelia Bonenberger, 98...died Wednesday after a two-year illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Baptist Temple Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
She was a charter member of both Olivet Baptist Church, organized in 1910 with 28 members, and of Baptist Temple Church.
Mrs. Bonenberger,...and her family represented four generations' membership in the Baptist Temple.
Born Jan. 21, 1861, at West Point, Ky., she came to Oklahoma City with her family in 1909 from Henderson, Ky. Her husband, the late Jacob Bonenberger, had previously operated a construction business in Kentucky and died in 1938.
She was a member of the Gold Star mothers having lost a son in World War I.
Her eldest son, J. D., who had operated a home construction business in Oklahoma City with his brother, A. F., for 40 years, died in 1958. Another son, J. H. died in February.
She is survived by her seven sons and two daughters, A. F. Bonenberger...and Robert V. Bonenberger, North Hollywood, Calif.; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren."
