Carl was a 'jack of all trades' or so it seemed. After proudly serving in WWII, he bacame a master mechanic, a teacher in auto shop, owner of J & S Collision in McMinnville, TN, and in later years was a bee keeper.

He loved his NASCAR races and he once told me that Richard Petty worked on cars in the neighbor's garage across the alley in Detroit, MI in the 1950's. Bill Elliot was his favorite driver. You could find him either watching the races on tv or listening to them on the radio.

He was a a Shriner, Master Mason and a Worshipful Master in his Warren Lodge in McMinnville, TN, where he lived for many years.

Carl was the son of Verby Sterling Jones and Beatrice Ellen Fisher. He was the husband of Eula Deane West and father to Douglas, Regina, Tonya and son Terry.
