Miss Mollie Shorter Couric, 73, died Thursday in a local hospital after a long illness. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the U.D.C. She was the eldest daughter of the late Alfred Alex Couric, Sr. and the great-grandniece of John Gill Shorter, who served as Governor of Alabama during the War Between the States.
Services will be April 27 at 3:30 pm at the First Baptist Church. Rev. C.B. Price will officiate and interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Eufaula.

Brothers - Dr. E.S. Couric and J.B. Couric, both of Miami
