Deceased Name: Merry Christmas Regester
Merry Christmas Regester, 77, of 3 Ridge Ave. died Tuesday in Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg.
She was a member of the Episcopal Parish of the Church of St. Stephen and the Nativity of Newport and Thompsontown.
Surviving are her husband, Frank D. Regester; two daughters, Arlene M. Hoke of Marysville and Sue A. Miller of Thompsontown; a son, Robert E. Thompson of Glendale, Ariz.; a brother, Eugene Jones of Newport; a sister, Helen Bolton of Lykens; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in her church with the Rev. William T. Warne officiating. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church after 9 a.m. Saturday.
Memorials may be made to her church, 159 S. Second St., Newport 17074.
The Myers Funeral Home, Newport, is handling arrangements.

As long as I can remember Aunt Merry was one tough Lady..She lived through several Heart Attacks..She was married to Frank Regester and had a Daughter named Sue Ann..A Son Bob who was raise by Merry's Sister Annie, Arlene and John Thompson.
Merry is my Aunt and my Mom's Sister..
How I miss you coming to the House when I was a Child and She would sit and talk about meeting Elvis.
Everybody would think to themselves, Oh yea sure! But now I realize it's probable because I ran into Chuck Norris in a Restaurant.
