Patty was born March 15, 1932, one of the twin daughters to Lawrence and Bessie West Sandy.
She married Samuel Minor Armstrong Jr. on February 14, 1950. They had a daughter Dianne Lynn and son Kenneth Ray, 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Four brothers proceeded her in death and she is survived by her twin sister Joanne and sister Linda Beatty.
Patty was laid to rest on June 13, 2005 next to her husband who died April 10, 2001.
