Carol B. Whitehead, 61, passed away Friday, May 27, 2005 in a local hospital. Mrs. Whitehead was born in Laurens County to the late Prentice Bracewell and Annie M. Bracewell. She was a member at Second Baptist Church, a member of the XYZ senior group and a member of the Joy Jubilee Sunday School Class. Mrs. Whitehead was a homemaker, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband Bert Whitehead of Warner Robins; daughters Renee Edgeworth of Warner Robins and Lawanna Prescott of Milledgeville; mother Avis McClendon Bracewell of Billings, MT; sister Shirley Tackas of Roundup, MT; grandchildren Erica Edgeworth, Ashley Edgeworth and Chelcey Edgeworth. Contributions may be made to the Second Baptist Church Building Fund at 2405 Moody Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088 or to Lupus Foundation of America, Inc. at 2000 L Street N.W., Suite 710, Washington, DC 20036 in memory of Mrs. Whitehead. She is very deeply missed.

Cause of death: Heart failure resulting from renal failure.
