PINE GROVE - The weekend brought tragedy to a Pine Grove family when both a father and his son passed away in a day's time.
Frank Fluharty, 61, of Ashtabula, Ohio, was dead upon arrival Saturday morning at the Ashtabula General Hospital, and his father, Lindsay Fluharty, 83, of Pine Grove, passed away Sunday morning in the Wetzel County Hospital, New Martinsville.
Frank Fluharty suffered a heart attack which proved fatal and his father died after being in ill health for an extended period of time.
Frank Fluharty was born Feb. 6, 1904, in Pine Grove, a son of the late Lindsay Fluharty and Mrs. Margaret Myers Fluharty of Pine Grove.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby Arnett Fluharty; three daughters, Ruth Ann, at home, and Mrs. Ella Mae Nestor of Farmington, and Mrs. Anna June Lancaster of Middlebourne; one sister, Mrs. Fanny Knotts of Pine Grove; and four grandchildren.
