BEDFORD — Patricia S. Wallskog, 59, of Bedford, died at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.

Born July 31, 1953, in Greene County, she was the daughter of Robert E. and Juanita (Voorhies) Smith. She married Duke Wallskog on May 17, 1975, and he survives.

She had worked as a nurse technician at Bedford Regional Medical Center for 15 years. She was affiliated with the Prevention of Child Abuse Association and had been the owner and operator of House of Kids Daycare in Bedford for 15 years. She was most recently employed by Arrow Consulting.

She was a member of the Tabernacle of Praise.

Survivors include her husband Duke of Bedford; a son, Adam Wallskog and his fiancé Emmalee Hamilton of Bedford; a nephew, Jesse Smith who was raised in the home; a grandson, Collin Wallskog; and a brother, Bob Smith and Mary of Bedford.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Smith.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Gary Thomas and Pastor Tom Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Owensburg Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the mortuary.

The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services.
