He is survied by his wife, four children, Blake, Taylor, Noah and Natalie Muehlich, one brother, Kent Muehlich and two sisters, Christy (Steve) Collier and Kathy (Dwight) Leighty.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Michael and his step-father, Ted Alberssen.
He served as a member of the Tremont Park District and took care of the baseball fields, lakes, fitness center and parks. He also coached and mentored his children and the youth of Tremont through sports, and was instrumental in the development of the many travel team programs in Tremont.
e was an active member of Harvest Bible Chapel in East Peoria where he served as an usher and in the children's ministry.
He graduated from Spalding High School in 1979 and a recent graduate of Greenville College with a sports management degree.
While going to college, he worked at Digital Copy Systems as a Sales Representative.
