Services for Dr. A. M. Applewhite, 70, Greenwood dentist, were held Wednesday September 4, at 10 a.m. at Moorhead Methodist Church. Burial was in Moorhead cemetery, with Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in charge.
Dr. Applewhite, who had practiced dentistry since 1944, died Monday morning September 2 at his home after a short illness.
He was a native of Winona and was graduated from Vanderbilt University. He was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Sydow of Hillsdale, Michigan; a sister, Mrs. L. N. Townsend of Webb; and five brothers, Dr. C. C. Applewhite of Jackson, W. R. Applewhite of Winona, Dr. J. D. Applewhite of Macon, Georgia, J. T. Applewhite of Gilchrist, Oregon and S. V. Applewhite of New Orleans and four grandchildren.
