Funeral services for Edna Faye Carey, 80, of Hanceville will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel, Rev's. Vernon Alvis, Paul Campbell, and John Simms officiating; with interment to follow in Hopewell Cemetery. Vocalist will be Patti Jones, with Sandy Waters as pianist.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Carey passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Hanceville Nursing Home. She was born on November 23, 1932 in Cullman County to Eddie and Mary Jane Woodruff Alvis and is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Landon T. Carey, Sr.; four children: Brenda Simmons; Sharron (Eddie) Chandler; Larry Anderson; and Paul W. (Kelli) Anderson; three step children: Pamela (James) Loner; Susan (Butch) Hammond; and Landon T. (Kelli) Carey, Jr.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a brother, Rev. Vernon (Ellen) Alvis.

The pallbearers will be: Steve Plourd, Brad Simpson, Daxton Simmons, Landon Simmons, Joshua Anderson, and Chandler Plourd.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday June 6, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
