BETTY ARGABRIGHT

Betty "Alta" Argabright, 69, of San Angelo died Friday, May 7, 1999, at her residence.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, in Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with the Rev. Chester McCown officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Betty was born Dec. 28, 1929, in Champion to R.D. and Alta Gregston. Betty married Jackie L. Argabright on Dec. 16, 1959, in San Antonio. She moved to San Angelo on Aug. 20, 1965, from Hawaii. Betty worked in the San Angelo medical community for 34 years including Dr. Perry Byars and Dr. Denver Marsh, West Texas Medical Association and Community Hospital. She was a member of the Ladies Civic Bowling League for many years. She was of the Baptist faith. Betty was a loving wife, mother and friend and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Jackie L. Argabright of San Angelo; five daughters, Cassandra K. Aoki Hadama and husband, Allen, of Japan, Joy Sother and husband, Bill, of Abilene, Susan Ruth Shatto of Fort Worth and Shirley Loeffler and Judy Williams, both of Beaumont; four sons, Jimmy R. Shatto and wife, Debbie, of San Angelo, Jackie L. Jr. Argabright and wife, Jamie, of Pahrump, Nev., Steven O. Argabright and wife, Annette, of Aurora, Colo., and David Wayne Hall and wife, Teresa, of Beaumont; two brothers, Wayne Gregston of Odessa and D.W. Gregston of Lamesa; two sisters, Hazel Cobern of Granbury and Loette Brown of Fort Worth; 13 grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.
