Joseph H. Barr, aged 66, of 208 Wallula Avenue, was accidently killed by a shotgun while shooting rats in a chicken coop in the rear of his home at 6:15 o'clock this morning. Mr. Barr's body was found by his son, George Barr, and Neighbors, who were attracted to the scene by the report of the gun. He was born May 9, 1860, at Mt. Chestnut, a son of the late Henry and Anna (nee Lyon) Barr, and had lived in Butler for the last twenty-five years. Mr. Barr is survived by his widow, Anna C. Barr, and the following children: Mrs. Irene H. Miller, New Kensington; Mrs. Ruth I. Andre and Mrs. I.S. Zorb, Butler; Leslie H. Barr, George G. Barr, Jennings B. Barr Barr and Miss June M. Barr, at home; one sister, Mrs. Mary E. Gepfert, Cleveland, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the home an Thursday afternoon in charge of the Rev. W. E. Schramm, and interment will be made in the Summit Presbyterian cemetery.
