DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Rosella J. Clemen, 83, of Dyersville, died Monday, Dec. 21, 1998, at Mercy Health Center St. Joseph's Unit, Dubuque.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a Catholic Daughters of America Rosary at 4 p.m. and a parish scripture service at 5 p.m.
Mrs. Clemen was a homemaker who loved cooking and sewing.
She was born on May 17, 1915, in New Vienna, daughter of Bernard and Theresa (Schmitz) Wiskus. She married Arnold Clemen on Feb. 4, 1936.
Surviving are five daughters, Clara Mae (Frank) Hoeger, Mary Jane Clemen, Jean (Alan) Roling and Betty Clemen, all of Dyersville, and Diane (Larry) Bockenstedt, of Earlville; three sons, Ralph (Geri Kay) Clemen, Donald (Theresa) Clemen and Loras Clemen, all of Dyersville; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bernard Wiskus, of Luxemburg, and Lavern Wiskus, of Colesburg; a sister, Julia Clemen, of Dyersville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold on Feb. 18, 1988; a son, Jerome on Sept. 18, 1981; three grandchildren; two sisters, Theresa Neuhaus and Alvina Pasker; and four brothers, Gregor, Lawrence, Ray and Clarence Wiskus.
A Rosella Clemen Memorial Fund has been established.
