According to the Boatright Bible, Mary Ann died in 1885 and was buried near Garfield, GA. A great-granddaughter indicated that she was buried in the Hooks Family Cemetery, located on the west side of GA St. Rt 23 between Twin City and Garfield, GA.

At the age of 23, Mary Ann married John T. Burt in October 1841. Children include: Nancy Missouri Burt (who married Jeremiah Hooks).

Following John T. Burt's death, Mary Ann married Michael Hooks (Jeremiah Hooks' father) on 22 Dec 1859.

Mary Ann is the eldest daughter of Reubin Boatright, Sr. and first wife, Lacy Bishop.
